Vince Zampella, who helped create the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.
Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.
The influential industry figure lost his life when his automobile collided and burst into flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This represents an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's loved ones, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his legacy," an official with Electronic Arts said.
