The Streaming Giant Selects Perfect Star for Bentham in the Hit Series Season 3

The Secret Organization is geared up to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, although the major clash won’t take place until the next season, and a adored, popular member has recently been selected.

The platform declared Tuesday that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece cast for the third season and will embody Bon Clay. This character possesses the power to morph into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their dominant hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a rendition of that character reimagined as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action show, as in the initial comic and anime.

This performer is joined by several other fresh additions who will portray the organization to life, including leader Sir Crocodile, portrayed by the well-known actor, a talented actress as another operative, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is also part of the ensemble as the ruler of the desert kingdom.

Although the role is a major member of the organization, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Given the next season likely to portray the Little Garden storyline, this signals a significant shift in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could indicate further changes to the plot development.

Their mix of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the role. Besides their current animated role in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s most celebrated figures.

Netflix's live-action One Piece program is due to premiere for its second season on the tenth of March, 2026.
