The individual suspected of being the recent fatal violence at Brown University authorities state died by suicide on Thursday evening, as stated by law enforcement.

He was found at a storage facility on Thursday evening, as reported from an enforcement source. The same individual is also believed of the murder of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology professor at a home in the Boston area.

“He ended his own life this evening,” announced the chief of the Providence police department during a news briefing.

The chief identified the deceased man as Claudio Nevis Valenti, a 48-year-old individual enrolled at Brown University.

This news comes after a significant law enforcement presence at a storage facility in Salem, New Hampshire earlier on Thursday. Witnesses reported seeing numerous agents in tactical gear converging on the premises.

The intensive search for the perpetrator had restarted on Monday after the attorney general's office announced that a person of interest on Sunday had been let go. This turn of events was acknowledged to be deeply concerning for the city residents.

Local officials noted that while the release was a setback, the broader investigation continued without interruption.

The two students who were killed in the shooting have been named by family. They are Ella Cook, a second-year student from Alabama who was served as vice-president for a campus political group, and MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, an international student in his first year who dreamed of becoming a neurosurgeon.

Officials are scheduled to hold a press conference to deliver further details on the suspect's death.
