Conservative executives in several US states have assigned National Guard personnel on readiness in anticipation of massive protests resisting Donald Trump and his agenda.

Various Republicans have termed the protests as "Anti-American" events.

Kansas Senator Roger Marshall according to sources stated prior to the rallies: "We'll have to call out the National Guard."

"Hopefully it'll be non-violent. I'm skeptical," he concluded.

Democratic Position

Liberal officials denounced the deployment of state troops.

Texas Democrat Gene Wu argued: "Deploying armed troops to control peaceful protests is what monarchs and autocrats do — and Greg Abbott just shown he's like them."
