Government Seeks Help from High Court After Unsuccessful Attempt to Halt Snap Payment Directive

The supreme court's ruling was issued after the government asked a federal appeals court last Friday to stop a judge’s order that it distribute this month's complete nutritional aid amid a US federal government shutdown.

Subsequent to that appeal to halt was denied, the administration appealed to the nation's top court in a further effort to halt the directive to fully fund Snap food aid disbursements.
