The House Oversight Committee has released a collection of approximately 70 photos from the estate of late found guilty individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the latest in a series of publication from a cache of over 95,000 photos the panel has obtained from Epstein's property. It contains photographs of excerpts from the literary work Lolita inscribed across a woman's body, and redacted images of women's overseas passports.

This disclosure comes mere hours before the 19th of December cut-off for the Department of Justice to release every records associated with its investigation into Epstein.

"These photos pose more inquiries about what exactly the Justice Department has in its possession," remarked the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Images Disclosed

Some of the photographs released on Thursday depict Epstein in discussion with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky aboard a private plane; Bill Gates standing next to a woman whose identity is obscured; Steve Bannon sitting at a table across from Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the latest affluent, powerful individuals to be seen in Epstein's estate photos disclosed by the committee - earlier released photos also depict US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, ex- US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and additional individuals.

Showing up in the photographs is not proof of any illegal activity, and many of the featured figures have stated they were in no way participating in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a press release accompanying the image publication, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee said the Epstein property holders did not offer background information or timings for the pictures.

"Photos were picked to provide the American people with openness into a typical cross-section of the photos obtained from the holdings, and to offer insights into Epstein's network and his extremely disturbing behavior," the statement reads.

The disclosure also contains a number of photographs of excerpts from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita written in dark ink across various areas of a female's body, such as her torso, feet, pelvis, and spine. Lolita tells the account of a adolescent who was exploited by a adult literature professor.

One quote from the book scrawled across a female's upper body states, "Lolita's name: the tip of the tongue traveling of three steps down the roof of the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".

There are also a number of images of female identification and official papers from nations around the world, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Most of the information on the IDs, such as names and birth dates, is censored but the committee stated in a statement that the travel documents pertain to "females whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were involved with".

A further image features Epstein seated at a desk in close proximity surrounded by three female figures whose identities have been obscured - a first has her palm on Epstein's chest under his clothing, and another individual is leaning to look at a nearby device. Epstein can be seen to be helping the third fasten a wristband.

A further image disclosed is a capture of SMS messages from an unidentified individual who says they have been sent "several females" and are requesting "$$1,000 per girl".

Photo Release Occurs Before DOJ Due Date

The panel has many thousands of images in its holdings from the Epstein estate, which are "at once graphic and mundane," its press release on this week clarified.

The oversight panel first issued a subpoena to the estate of Epstein, who was found dead in a New York prison in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on charges of human trafficking, in August.

The photographs and records the Epstein estate provided to the body are separate from what is commonly referred to "Epstein-related records". Those are records within the DOJ's possession related to its independent investigation into Epstein.

Pursuant to the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which Donald Trump enacted last month, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to release its documents. The full nature of what is found in the DOJ's files is not publicly known, and it's likely that a large amount of the information will be extensively redacted, akin to Congressional documents
