Actor Denies Anti-Vaccine Views After Lending His Voice To Controversial Covid Film

Liam Neeson has lent his narration to a new documentary that challenges the efficacy of immunizations and praises former health official RFK Jr.

The Documentary's Provocative Origins

Called "Plague of Corruption," the project is adapted from a bestselling book co-authored by a controversial scientist, who gained notoriety during the pandemic for claims that the illness was linked to a faulty batch of the influenza shot.

Her co-author, a producer, has also written books with far-right radio host Alex Jones. The producer wrote online praising Neeson's role in the documentary.

An Unequivocal Statement

A spokesperson for the actor have released a response strongly denying claims that he supports anti-vax sentiments.

"We all understand that corruption can exist within the pharmaceutical industry, but that must not be confused with rejection of vaccines," the response reads. "Neeson never has been, and remains not, anti-vaccination. His extensive work with the UN children's agency highlights his long-held support for public-health initiatives."

The statement added that the actor had no hand in the project's narrative and that questions about its content are best addressed to the filmmakers.

In the film, the script spoken by Neeson features several provocative claims:

• It posits that "science has become deeply politicised."
• Kennedy is featured stating, "The major issue with vaccines is that they simply are not adequately tested."
• The film further attacks pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused mental anguish that resulted in thousands of lives.
• Regarding the immunizations, it references a report that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Previous Background and Ongoing Disputes

The film includes a historical film about HIV drug testing on children, which was later the subject of a correction by the corporation for violations of guidelines.

In recent weeks, RFK Jr instructed the national health agency to alter its longstanding position that there is no link between vaccines and autism. This claim is also referenced in the documentary, despite a fresh analysis from the WHO stating no such link has been found.

A Previous Position of Support

Standing in contrast to the film's message, Neeson has previously voiced clear advocacy for vaccines in his role as a Unicef global ambassador.

In 2022, he referred to vaccines as "a remarkable achievement," stating that "The conversation about vaccines in recent years has forgotten how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in history."

"Plague of Corruption" ends with Neeson's voice proclaiming, "This marks not the end of our narrative. Rather, it is the dawn of a new chapter."
